Do you care about the troops? They need you now more than ever!, Urgent support request for Afghanistan

Do you care about the troops? They need you now more than ever!
, Urgent support request for Afghanistan.

I got the following message sent to me and in seeing the urgent need of support, I am hoping you will spread this around and help in anyway that you might be able too.

8 killed in an awful battle in Afghanistan where they
were overwhelmed by insurgents. Many more were wounded.

Here's some important info that is on a troop support website:

QUOTE:

In the battle for Combat Outpost Keating, the men of Bravo Troop 361 Cavalry lost every possession they had, save for the clothes on their backs. These men have lost friends, their outpost, and all their belongings. One soldier who made it out wrote that “most people back home dont even know, no one gives a ”. Well, many of us do. And you can prove it by giving whatever you can.

if you would like to send a card, letter or a small package with snacks, morale gear, etc. to the survivors to tell them "WE GIVE A ", you can mail directly to (please DO NOT send money to this address, this address is in Afghanistan, and they cannot purchase anything there). Please include a note in your package that these items are for the COP Keating Survivors:

CSM Robert Wilson
TF Mountain Warrior
FOB Bostick
APO AE 09354

And, yes, before you ask...the Army did give each of the survivors one change of clothes...but, they have to buy any extras, personal items, etc, and the PX there is just not prepared to handle this.

Those of us putting this plea out there are asking one final thing -- if possible... please take a picture of yourself holding a sign that says "I give a sh!t!" We thought it might bring a smile to their faces to see boxes rolling in with that sentiment! Please include any personal items you can, but also include books, MP3 players (if you have one to spare), and other morale boosting materials. Remember these guys lost EVERYTHING including their most precious friends.
